What is The RECOVER Project?
The RECOVER Project is a community open to all concerned with alcohol and drug addiction. We exist to foster recovery and empower individuals, families, and the communities of Franklin County and Athol.

We provide peer-to-peer services, based on the guiding principal that competence and wisdom reside in those with lived experience. We aim to create and nurture a recovery-informed community that understands the strengths and value of its citizens.
September is Recovery Month, come celebrate with us at our Recovery Jam

Our Mission Statement:
The RECOVER Project is a community open to all concerned with alcohol and drug addition. We exist to foster recovery and empower individuals, families and the community of Franklin County and Athol.

What are peer-to-peer services?
They are services designed and run by peers in recovery to support others to initiate and sustain recovery by providing social supports.

What is a “peer”?
A peer is an individual who shares the experience of addiction and recovery either directly or as a family member or concerned other.

What are social supports?
Social supports are activities that move people along the stages of recovery by providing companionship, emotional support, information and referral, and opportunities for skill development.

RECOVER Project Supports and Services
RECOVER Project peer support services were developed through a participatory process including people in recovery, family members, concerned others and other community members. All supports and services are run by volunteers in recovery.

How Can I Get Involved?
Call our main number or stop by and talk to one of our coordinators or volunteers. Our space is located conveniently on bus routes in downtown Greenfield.
